For the top’s quartersawn scalloped “X” bracing, we reviewed earlier Ovation bracing patterns extensively and arrived at a remarkable new design that borrows from the past and is voiced for the present, with natural tone and optimal response and power. Together, body, top and sound holes create the classic Ovation Elite sound, resonating with full projection, remarkable note clarity and balance, and nuanced tonal complexity. The top also has elegant multi-wood epaulets, black binding and a beautiful Two-color Sunburst gloss finish.

tyled in a sleek sunburst finish, Ovation's Celebrity Elite Series CE44-1 is an acoustic/electric guitar featuring a single-cutaway, mid-depth Lyrachord body with a solid spruce top and quarter-sawn scalloped "X" bracing. If projection on a stage is your primary goal, then this acoustic/electric guitar is more than up for the job: the round-backed body, resonant spruce top, and unconventional soundholes facilitate clarity, balance, and power. Aiding in the aesthetics are multi-wood epaulets around the soundholes, as well as black binding. A rosewood bridge rounds out the body. Its neck boasts a 10" radius, 20 fully accessible frets—23 for the high E string—and a rosewood fingerboard adorned with pearloid dots. Furthermore, a set of chrome die-cast tuners secure the strings at the headstock. Turn your attention this guitar's built-in electronics. The CE44-1 is equipped with an Ovation Slimline pickup and OP-4BT preamp system, which sports a three-band EQ, a volume control, a low battery indicator, and an onboard tuner to boot.
