It should come as no surprise that hard rock and beer go together like sports… and beer, which is why over the years plenty of artists have taken it upon themselves to bless their fans with a bit of swill modeled (endorsed, at least) after their favorite act.

Well, looks like AC/DC is ready to join the party as the Australian rock legends have joined the club with a new, full-bodied German beer.

This technically isn’t the band’s first try at selling alcoholic beverages as their signature bottles of AC/DC wine have been available here in the states since mid-2012, but this is their first official beer, and if you want to be a “real rocker,” the brew’s website happily suggests you do it with some AC/DC Premium Lager Beer, stating:

If you wanna rock hard, you need the right beer.

AC/DC, the infamous Hardrock Legends from down under, have been delivering true rock for the last 40 years. Now they give their name for true, pint-sized Australian taste as well.

“AC/DC Premium Lager Beer ” is 568mL of true German Premium Lager with mouthwatering 5.0% alc.

This lager fires up your tongue like TNT, comes with a great beer-loving taste and is brewed in accordance with the Rock`n Roll manifesto of 1973 and the German purity law of 1516.

Translation: For those about to rock… how about an AC/DC beer? Other hard rock bands who have their own brand of alcohol includes – unsurprisingly – KISS and Motorhead, the latter of which has not one but two beers with their Bastard Lager and Sacrifice Shiraz.

Currently, the brew is available in Germany. No word on when and if it will be heading to the United States.
