It bridges the gap between guitar and bass instruments, not quite sitting fully in either camp and instead forging its own identity. It has 6 strings with traditional electric guitar string-spacing, yet has a 30” scale length allowing the tuning to be set an octave lower than standard for a unique bass/baritone crossover sound. The Hellcat is loaded with USA Schecter MonsterTone pickups for super-charged single coil tones. Each pickup has an individual coil-split on-off switch to provide the option to select between lighter and heavier tones, while the whole pickup set is wired to a 5-way switch to offer multiple sound combinations. The Hellcat has a modern neck specification with extra-jumbo frets and a low-profile 5-bolt neck joint for effortless playability. The guitar is crafted with many vintage design touches and gives the appeal of a classic instrument balanced with a modern playability and unique tonality.
