Since the mid 1950’s the DeArmond 1100 Rhythm Chief floating single coil pickup has been a staple feature of Guild archtops. The acoustic, woody, natural tone is coupled with the innovative fingerboard mounting bar. This mounting bar allows players to install the pickup in the neck position of the guitar without having to alter the solid wood soundboard.. To this day, it is still one of the most sought after pickups by archtop players.
