BARTOLINI PBF-51 Vintage Bridge Humbucker Pickup Black

Bartolini's PBF guitar pickup line offers smooth, vintage humbucker tone with specific pairs tuned for the main genres of music. Bill Bartolini collaborated with Ed Reynolds on the design of PBF pickups. Ed was a builder of excellent guitars and basses and a top notch repairman in the Chicago area in the 70's and early 80's. He has continued his work in the Austin, Texas and now focuses exclusively on electric guitars.
The PBF-51 is well suited for vintage tone.
The Vintage Pair the PBF-49 neck and PBF-51 bridge combination is intended for those players who seek the earlier vintage humbucker tonalities that come from windings near 7.5K-ohm for the neck pickup and just over 8K-ohm for the bridge pickup. The 49 and 51 provide much more focused and defined lows while retaining and improving the sweetness of the high end.
The tone of the PBF series pickups is simply Bartolin's distillation of the best features of Vintage Humbucker tone. All PBF series pickups are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics.
PBF pickups are available in Chrome plated, Nickel plated and Gold Plated covers. Their traditional, clean appearance will look equally at home in your '79 Paul, semi-hollowbody electric, or your Heavy Metal machine. For those who prefer the unbridled tone of uncovered pickups, they are available in ABS covers in black or white colors.
