The second album from Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros is set to be released on May 29th. The album is entitled “Here” and the band has announced tour plans to accompany the new album release. Currently they are finishing up the album in Ojai, CA, after doing the majority of recording in Bogalusa, LA.
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will appear Saturday, March 17 at the SXSW Film Conference and Festival for the premier of the Emmett Malloy film “Big Easy Express”. The film tells the story of the band, along with bands Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show, as they toured the American Southwest in railroad cars and performed outdoor concerts along the way. All three bands will join director Emmett Malloy for the Big Easy Express premier, as well as a live acoustic set and Q&A session.
Starting off with a headline performance at the Greek Theatre on May 4th in Los Angeles, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will tour nationwide until June 1st. The band also announced a small group of shows that will be performed in March, be sure to check out the dates and venues below. Dates with an asterisk (*) are performances where the band will support The Dave Matthews Band.
